Bay Window Rear Bench Identification

BAY WINDOW REAR FULL BENCH IDENTIFICATION

There are 2 different versions of the Bay Window rear full benches, up to 1973, and 74-79.

UP TO 73:  Is a FIXED BACKREST seat, meaning the backrest does not fold down onto the seat cushion. It has an L type bracket on the backrest that is used to mount the backrest to the body of the Bus.

74-79:  Has a HINGED BACKREST, and the backrest can fold down onto the cushion. There is a FLAP sewn onto the back edge of the seat cover that has a plastic strip sewn onto it. This plastic strip tucks into a tuck rail that is on the body of the bus just behind the rear seat. THIS IS DEMONSTRATED IN THE PHOTO ABOVE.

The Seat Bottom upholstery is the same for all years.
